![]() ![]() I feel like everyone singing the praises of the monkey chaff haven't run into things like late game templars or large summons where the arrows just bounce off. Why is the magic monkeys get so incredibly weak in comparison? But Bakemono get way better summons, powerful immortal casters, a ton of free spawn and can turn mountains into citadels as well. Dai Bakemono are basically the same as the heavy bandar troops except they cost less iron. I've had 2 or 3 units hold off hundreds by hiding in a citadel before. That has less to do with bandar units being good and more to do with citadels being good. Maruts can kill Phoenixes with no losses, which was good for my game, but they should be able to also capture quite a lot of locations in the sky and if you use 2 you should be able to cap anything but cities. ![]() Yeah you are dropping a lot of gems in those summons if you just try to fish for the gem ones, but the others have their uses, nagarayas are very solid frontline commanders cause they dont rush like lunatics. The lake ones are awful too, because lakes aren't that common. May as well just finish the game instead of waiting to pay that back. There are a ton of units that just outright ignore it anyways, even if it was awe 50 it wouldn't be overpowered. Paying hundreds of gems for a handful of units that die to longbows before they get in melee range is sad. I'm ok with the theme of having a bunch of naked summons 'protected' by awe, but they need to be way less expensive in that case. Not to mention all the other utility spells the Warlock gets, and much more reliable ways of generating more gems and getting specifically what you want. You can get a tier 2 caster on a 3 armor, 25 hp chassis with a bunch of resistances and strong attacks for like half as many gems. It honestly baffles me why these units are so expensive compared to the Warlock counterparts.
